The Lord’s Portion of the Land

45 “And when you (A)divide by lot the land for inheritance, you shall offer [a]an (B)allotment to the Lord, a (C)holy portion of the land; the length shall be the length of 25,000 (D)cubits, and the width shall be [b]20,000. It shall be holy within all its boundary round about. Out of this there shall be for the holy place a square round about (E)five hundred by five hundred cubits, and fifty cubits for its [c](F)open space round about. From this [d]area you shall measure a length of 25,000 cubits and a width of 10,000 cubits; and in it shall be the sanctuary, the most holy place. It shall be the holy portion of the land; it shall be for the (G)priests, the ministers of the sanctuary, who (H)come near to minister to the Lord, and it shall be a place for their houses and a holy place for the sanctuary. An area (I)25,000 cubits in length and 10,000 in width shall be for the Levites, the ministers of the house, and for their possession [e]cities to dwell in.

“You shall give the (J)city possession of an area 5,000 cubits wide and 25,000 cubits long, alongside the [f]allotment of the holy portion; it shall be for the whole house of Israel.

Portion for the Prince

“The (K)prince shall have land on either side of the holy [g]allotment and the [h]property of the city, adjacent to the holy [i]allotment and the [j]property of the city, on the west side toward the west and on the east side toward the east, and in length comparable to one of the portions, from the west border to the east border. This shall be his land for a possession in Israel; so My princes shall no longer (L)oppress My people, but they shall give the rest of the land to the house of Israel (M)according to their tribes.”

‘Thus says the Lord [k]God, “(N)Enough, you princes of Israel; put away (O)violence and destruction, and (P)practice justice and righteousness. Stop your (Q)expropriations from My people,” declares the Lord God.

10 “You shall have (R)just balances, a just (S)ephah and a just (T)bath. 11 The ephah and the bath shall be [l]the same quantity, so that the bath will contain a tenth of a (U)homer and the ephah a tenth of a homer; [m]their standard shall be according to the homer. 12 The (V)shekel shall be twenty (W)gerahs; twenty shekels, twenty-five shekels, and fifteen shekels shall be your [n]maneh.

13 “This is the offering that you shall offer: a sixth of an ephah from a homer of wheat; a sixth of an ephah from a homer of barley; 14 and the prescribed portion of oil (namely, the bath of oil), a tenth of a bath from each kor (which is ten baths or a homer, for ten baths are a homer); 15 and one sheep from each flock of two hundred from the watering places of Israel—for a (X)grain offering, for a burnt offering and for peace offerings, to (Y)make atonement for them,” declares the Lord God. 16 (Z)All the people of the land shall [o]give to this offering for the (AA)prince in Israel. 17 It shall be the (AB)prince’s part to provide the (AC)burnt offerings, the grain offerings and the drink offerings, at the (AD)feasts, on the (AE)new moons and on the sabbaths, at all the appointed feasts of the house of Israel; he shall provide the sin offering, the grain offering, the burnt offering and the (AF)peace offerings, to make atonement for the house of Israel.”

18 ‘Thus says the Lord God, “In the (AG)first month, on the first of the month, you shall take a young bull (AH)without blemish and (AI)cleanse the sanctuary. 19 The priest shall take some of the blood from the sin offering and put it on the door posts of the house, on the (AJ)four corners of the (AK)ledge of the altar and on the posts of the gate of the inner court. 20 Thus you shall do on the seventh day of the month for everyone who goes (AL)astray or is [p]naive; so you shall make (AM)atonement for the house.

21 “In the (AN)first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, you shall have the (AO)Passover, a feast of seven days; unleavened bread shall be eaten. 22 On that day the prince shall provide for himself and all the people of the land a (AP)bull for a sin offering. 23 During the (AQ)seven days of the feast he shall provide as a (AR)burnt offering to the Lord (AS)seven bulls and seven rams without blemish on every day of the seven days, and a male goat daily for a sin offering. 24 He shall provide as a (AT)grain offering an ephah [q]with a bull, an ephah [r]with a ram and a hin of oil [s]with an ephah. 25 In the (AU)seventh month, on the fifteenth day of the month, at the feast, he shall provide like this, seven days [t]for the sin offering, the burnt offering, the grain offering and the oil.”

89 (A)Forever, O Lord,
Your word [a]is settled in heaven.
90 Your (B)faithfulness continues [b]throughout all generations;
You (C)established the earth, and it (D)stands.
91 They stand this day according to Your (E)ordinances,
For (F)all things are Your servants.
92 If Your law had not been my (G)delight,
Then I would have perished (H)in my affliction.
93 I will (I)never forget Your precepts,
For by them You have [c](J)revived me.
94 I am Yours, (K)save me;
For I have (L)sought Your precepts.
95 The wicked (M)wait for me to destroy me;
I shall diligently consider Your testimonies.
96 I have seen [d]a limit to all perfection;
Your commandment is exceedingly broad.

You Are Built Up in Christ

For I want you to know how great a (A)struggle I have on your behalf and for those who are at (B)Laodicea, and for all those who have not [a]personally seen my face, that their (C)hearts may be encouraged, having been (D)knit together in love, and attaining to all (E)the wealth [b]that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a (F)true knowledge of (G)God’s mystery, that is, Christ Himself, in whom are hidden all (H)the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. (I)I say this so that no one will delude you with (J)persuasive argument. For even though I am (K)absent in body, nevertheless I am with you in spirit, rejoicing [c]to see [d]your (L)good discipline and the (M)stability of your faith in Christ.

Therefore as you have received (N)Christ Jesus the Lord, so [e](O)walk in Him, having been firmly (P)rooted and now being (Q)built up in Him and (R)established [f]in your faith, just as you (S)were instructed, and overflowing [g]with gratitude.

(T)See to it that no one takes you captive through (U)philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the (V)elementary principles of the world, [h]rather than according to Christ. For in Him all the (W)fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, 10 and in Him you have been (X)made [i]complete, and (Y)He is the head [j]over all (Z)rule and authority; 11 and in Him (AA)you were also circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, in the removal of (AB)the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ; 12 having been (AC)buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also (AD)raised up with Him through faith in the working of God, who (AE)raised Him from the dead. 13 When you were (AF)dead [k]in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He (AG)made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, 14 having canceled out (AH)the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and (AI)He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 When He had [l](AJ)disarmed the (AK)rulers and authorities, He (AL)made a public display of them, having (AM)triumphed over them through [m]Him.

16 Therefore no one is to [n](AN)act as your judge in regard to (AO)food or (AP)drink or in respect to a (AQ)festival or a (AR)new moon or a (AS)Sabbath [o]day— 17 things which are (AT)a mere shadow of what is to come; but the [p]substance [q]belongs to Christ. 18 Let no one keep [r](AU)defrauding you of your prize by (AV)delighting in [s]self-abasement and the worship of the angels, [t]taking his stand on visions he has seen, [u](AW)inflated without cause by his (AX)fleshly mind, 19 and not holding fast to (AY)the head, from whom (AZ)the entire body, being supplied and held together by the joints and [v]ligaments, grows with a growth [w]which is from God.

20 (BA)If you have died with Christ [x]to the (BB)elementary principles of the world, (BC)why, as if you were living in the world, do you submit yourself to (BD)decrees, such as, 21 “Do not handle, do not taste, do not touch!” 22 (which all refer (BE)to things destined to perish [y]with use)—in accordance with the (BF)commandments and teachings of men? 23 These are matters which have, to be sure, the [z]appearance of wisdom in [aa](BG)self-made religion and self-abasement and (BH)severe treatment of the body, but are of no value against (BI)fleshly indulgence.
